Winner winner chicken dinner!
I won this lovely Kinky Curly set (spritz coming soon! Couldn’t find it in box, have to take it up with British Curlies Emporium!!). I won this in a give away Lela Divine. Join the page! The blog is still developing into something bigger but it’s definitely something I’ll be checking back on (seen some interesting articles). Anyhow, I am pleased to have this range and I will try and and of course, review on it. Just not yet though! I still have a lot of reviews to do on other things I’ve been using for a while, and I’ll make pictorials of my own DIY skincare and what I make for my own skin using some natural ingredients… ^^

My hair regimen for those interested.
Currently doing my own personal 6 month mega growth challenge (started from 10th of May ending on 11th of December). I’ve seen good growth results form using castor oil for scalp massages, using cayenne pepper in DC treatments but also from taking MSM internally and so I’ve made this regimen to incorporate all I used to get the maximum hair growth possible and to hopefully graze APL by Christmas 2011.
My regimen right now;
* Shampoo once a week, with either Capasal/Bee Mine Rhassoul Clarifying Bar/Dr. Bronner’s Castile Tea Tree Soap.
* Cowash twice a week (once after shampoo) with either GVN Tea Tree Triple Treat/Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine/Dr. Organic Manuka Honey Conditioner.
* DC once a week with either a protein (JBCO/egg with oils and cayenne pepper OR bentonite clay/rhassoul clay/brahmi/tulsi/amla with oils and cayenne pepper (every two weeks I’ll use juice from crushed garlics in mixture).
* Adding leave in everyday twice a day - either GVN Direct Leave-In/Bee Mine Lovely Daily Con/Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie
* Seal hair three times a week with Vatika oil
* Scalp massages minimum of three times a week - mix of oils - Avocado oil, Bee Mine Growth Serum with Sulfur, JBCO, regular castor oil, tea tree oil and rosemary oil
* Spritz hair before adding leave in or just to refresh throughout the day; Bee Mine Daily Moisturising Spritz/Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Hold and Shine Moisture Spritz/Afrocenchix Daily Moisturising Spritz/water with aloe vera gel, tea tree oil and glycerin.
* Once a week before hair wash (either cowash or shampoo), a black or green tea rinse.
Internal regimen;
* MSM 2400mg a day
* Multivitamins OR Hair skin and nail vitamins
* Fish oil tablets (without added vitamins)
* 1.5L of water.
I will be protective styling for six months, taking hair out and rebraiding every four weeks. Will detangle hair every four weeks and will take comparison pics mid way (somewhere in August) as well.

Bee Mine Rhassoul Clay Clarifying Bar review
Little story behind this: I purchased this at British Curlies Emporium. I needed a different shampoo to my Capasal shampoo. I needed something without SLS or ALS, or any sulphates for that matter. So I stumbled upon this and I was interested in buying this, so I did.

How I used it:
I use it in two ways; I either lather it in my hands and then work it into my hair and scalp, or I rub the bar on my hair and scalp. The latter can be a bit messy considering the bar actually has pieces of wood in it. A type of wood material but it’s very tiny. It can get stuck in your hair or snag your hair, so remove some from the surface you’re using to rub in your hair.
My thoughts and opinion:
From the first wash I decided that I would stick to this product for a very very long time and if it finishes, I’ll buy it again. The shampoo bar, as shown above, is rectangle and pretty much the same size as any soap or shampoo bar you might have.The smell is pleasant, it isn’t strong. It smells like rhassoul clay or some type of clay. I found this quite pleasant. Second thing is that my hair did feel clarified after I washed with it, but it didn’t feel stripped. It left my hair completely clean. I used this after an allergic reaction towards neem oil and it calmed my scalp down completely. There is nothing much else I can say about this except that it does what it says it does and also, it may work differently for you. My hair didn’t feel stripped, but since it does clarify, you might want to follow up with a conditioner or moisturiser. I love this soap bar, the price is quite good and a little goes a long way. I’ll definitely go back to purchase more.

Bee Mine Juicy Moisturising Daily Spritz
Little story behind this: Today I am reviewing Bee Mine’s Juicy Moisturising Daily Spritz. I absolutely LOVE this spritz. The smell and what it does for my hair. I ordered the Bee Mine product from British Curlies Curly Emporium. I ordered it online and I recommend any British curly/natural gal to go to British Curlies and check out their store, they have a lot of products including Giovanni’s, Anita Grant and Kinky Curly.
The packaging/claims/instructions:

Being the cheapskate I am, I purchased the smaller version which is about 2oz, just to try it out. I will be going back to get some more this week!
Price:
2oz £3.50
8oz £10.00
My thoughts and opinion:
What appealed to me when I initially saw this product on the British Curlies Emporium website, was the packaging. It may look too white and too plain but I liked the little bee on it. It was quite cute to me. The second thing which appealed to me was the ingredients; I try to buy as natural and as organic as possible.
How I used it:
I usually spray this into my hand and then squeeze a bit of Giovanni’s Direct Leave In. I then work the mixture into my hair. The smell is quite nice, at first I didn’t know what the smell was, until I read online that it actually is an Island Mango Scent. I wouldn’t have known, it just smelled a bit tropical to me. But anyhow, I sometimes finish off by spraying my hair with the spray. It keeps my hair moisturised, it’s quite good for helping my curls revert again after being dry. It basically does it’s job. The smell probably isn’t for everyone but they only have it in one version (as far as I know) which is Island Mango Scent. I do have my own spritzes with water but I’ll definitely go back and repurchase this because of the smell and other oils and herbs it contains, it keeps my hair smelling nice and looking good!

Scalp scrub
Little story behind this: Last night I attempted a scalp scrub. I felt like I was in need for some scrubbing since I haven’t exfoliated my scalp in time.
What I did:
For this mixture, I used two tea spoons of white and brown sugar. I added a few drops of tea tree oil and a few drops of amla oil*. I proceeded to use the mixture on my scalp only. I kept on scrubbing and scrubbing and using circular motions.
