Let’s talk my fellow white people,
WTT, or any other concert you may attend, is not an excuse to use the n-word. It’s really not. I know, you are just “rapping along”. That, my friends, is a bullshit excuse and everyone knows it but you. You are perfectly capable of skipping the n-word while at a hip-hop concert. Your mouth should be conected to your brain. That means you do not have to mindless repeat everything you hear.
Being a fan of hip-hop, or being at a hip-hop concert, is not a justification for using the n-word. Nor should you use it as one. (I know, I am being a little bossy but too fucking bad.) I do not understand what the obsession is with using the n-word. Is it for the thrill? For the rebellion of doing something “not permitted”? Do you think you are “black in your soul”? Because you aren’t. Or is it because you are (and this is my personal interpretation) racist? Because, sorry, if you are saying the n-word, my fellow white people, and taking pleasure in saying that word (even in the context of Kanye’s “Golddiggers”) then you, my fellow white person, are racist.
Maybe you aren’t aware of how violent and dehumanizing the associations with the n-word are historically. Ignorance is no excuse. Wikipedia that shit and stop using that word.
Because, my fellow white people who use the n word, a) you are being racist and b) you are making me look bad. (Fine, the latter isn’t exactly important to anyone but me. However, I have never claimed to be un-shallow. My comfort is important.) Just as other groups are stereotyped, white hip-hop fans are stereotyped as well and you are creating a stereotype that I do not want any part of. Listen hipster WTT fan, I have been listening to hip-hop since you were in diapers. Since I was here first, I am using my seniority to tell you to cut that shit out. Stop being a racist douche. Ending racism is complex but not saying the n-word is easy-peasy.
no love,
