These H&M posters are all over Paris. She’s about 4 shades darker than I am. She’s obscenely tan. Anyway, I looked around a bit, and apparently they had to issue an apology because they could be encouraging a “dangerous lifetyle” by posting such a tan model.
And in their apology they essentially explained they just meant to show off the swimsuits. And I’m thinking, hey here’s an alternative to fake tanning a white model to death, HIRE A BROWN ONE.
Wow, crazy. People actually come in this color. I know, it’s wild.
Anyway, these ads are obnoxious.

But once you make that kind of suggestion then it leads to things like the idea that brown people are beautiful as white ones and from there you get radical, off-the-wall ideas about brown people being human. HDU!
Also, am I the only one who thinks that this photoshoot makes this model’s face look really ridiculous and that this picture isn’t sexy or pretty but just really laughable. I keep thinking that she just farted and doesn’t want anyone to know. Seriously. That’s what that face reads like to me.
